Composite Heart for GOCC

An impressive heart-shaped donation box passed on to the GOCC by EXPO Krakow!

It will probably be the biggest donation box that the GOCC ever had! It is almost 2m high, made of super durable composite material. It will be exposed during the Final of GOCC near the Adam Mickiewicz Statue in Krakow.

The Heart was presented during a press conference announcing the 22nd final of GOCC in Krakow which is to take place on January 8, at 12:00 in the Wyspiański Exhibition Area at All Saints’ square in Krakow. This giant heart-shaped donation box was provided free-of-charge by the EXPO Krakow (after it had been developed in Autumn 2013 during the 4rth edition of KOMPOZYT-EXPO).

- We are very pleased that we can once again join the Final of GOCC. We believe that this unique donation box will be filled up to the top. We are now deciding what to do with commemorative elements after the box is open – says  Grażyna Grabowska, the President of EXPO Krakow.

Money will be collected the whole Sunday. The donation box will be open by Krakow staff of GOCC based in the Sukiennice National Museum immediately after symbolic lights are sent off into the night sky.

Apart from the giant heart, 10 smaller hearts were also made and were signed by special guests of the 17th Book Fair in Krakow: Krzysztof Hołowczyc, Ryszard Kalisz, Jolanta Kwaśniewska, Olga Lipińska, Janusz Majewski, Marcin Meller, Magdala Różczka, Tymon Tymański, Martyna Wojciechowska, and Grzegorz Turnau. These special hearts were handed over to GOCC online auction operated by Allegro.

A giant heart with a collection of smaller hearts were created thanks to involvement of the following companies: ALLCOMP Polska, C-L, MASTERMODEL, PHOENIX Equipment Polska, SAMAR and KAUPOSIL.
